筆者のブログをご覧いただいている諸氏。久方ぶりの更新となる本稿では、最近の活動について報告する。
日常は在宅ワークを中心とした単調な営みであり、朝の覚醒から夜の沈眠に至るまで、仕事に没頭しつつ、時折愛車たる二輪車に跨がり、無為なる街路を彷徨うという変化に乏しい生活を送っている。しかしながら、この平穏無事な日々には一つの特筆すべき利点が存在する。それは、音楽を聴取しながら業務を遂行できるという贅沢な環境である。
筆者は近頃、Spotifyという音楽ストリーミングプラットフォームを駆使し、DJミックスに資する楽曲を発掘し、それらをリスト化する作業に没頭している。これまでに4つのプレイリストを作成し、それらをSpotifyのアーティストページに掲載した。興味があればぜひご確認いただきたい（Spotifyプレイリストはこちら）。さらに、これらのプレイリストから厳選した楽曲を用いてDJミックスも制作したので、併せてお楽しみいただければ幸甚である（DJミックスはこちら）。
加えて、このDJミックス「Gift For Sonix Mar 22nd 2025」をBGMとして使用し、二輪車での走行映像を試験的に制作してみた。その成果物はYouTubeにアップロードしてあるので、関心があればぜひご覧いただきたい（走行動画はこちら）。YZF-R6とアクラポビッチマフラーが奏でる轟音と、筆者が選曲したテクノ・テックハウスのビートが融合した作品となっている。
さらに最近の楽曲制作状況についても触れておこう。SNS上ではその進捗についてほとんど発信していないため、一見すると停滞しているように見えるかもしれない。しかしながら、それは決して怠惰によるものではない。むしろ筆者は久方ぶりにリリースしたいと思えるレーベルを発見し、そのタイミングを慎重に見極めつつ、楽曲を蓄積している最中である。このような準備期間こそが創作活動における重要な局面であり、一朝一夕には語り尽くせぬ深遠なるプロセスなのである。
また、DJプレイに使用するソフトウェアをTraktorからdjayへと移行した。きっかけは砂原良徳氏が使用していたという浅い理由から始まったが、実際に使用してみると、使い勝手が良く、特に楽曲の波形が縦に流れていくビューがXone:K2を愛用する筆者にとって非常に使いやすい。djayの長所としては、直感的なインターフェースや高度なビートグリッディング機能が挙げられるが、ライブラリ管理システムの改善が望まれる点もある。
以上が最近の活動報告である。次回の更新がいつになるかは予測不能だが、その際には新たな試行錯誤や発見について披瀝できることを期待している。それではまた会う日まで。

It’s been a while since my last update, and I’d like to share some recent activities with you.
My daily routine revolves around working from home, a rather monotonous existence where I immerse myself in work from dawn till dusk. Occasionally, I break this routine by taking my beloved motorcycle for a ride through the city streets. Despite the apparent lack of excitement, this peaceful lifestyle does have one notable advantage: the luxury of listening to music while working.
Lately, I’ve been engrossed in exploring Spotify, unearthing tracks suitable for DJ mixes and meticulously organizing them into playlists. I’ve created four playlists so far, which are now featured on my Spotify artist page. Feel free to check them out if you’re interested (Spotify playlists here). Additionally, I’ve produced a DJ mix using carefully selected tracks from these playlists, which I hope you’ll enjoy (DJ mix here).
Furthermore, I’ve experimented with creating a motorcycle riding video, using my DJ mix “Gift For Sonix Mar 22nd 2025” as the background music. You can find this creation on YouTube (riding video here). It’s a fusion of the roaring sounds of my YZF-R6 with its Akrapovic exhaust and the techno and tech house beats I’ve chosen.
Regarding my recent music production, you might think I’ve been idle as I haven’t shared much on social media. However, this is far from the truth. I’ve actually discovered a label I’d like to release with after quite some time, and I’m carefully timing this while accumulating tracks. This preparation phase is a crucial aspect of the creative process, a profound journey that can’t be rushed.
I’ve also switched my DJ software from Traktor to djay. While the initial reason was rather superficial – because Yoshinori Sunahara uses it – I’ve found it quite user-friendly in practice. The vertical waveform view is particularly convenient for me as a Xone:K2 user. Djay boasts an intuitive interface and advanced beatgridding features, though there’s room for improvement in its library management system.
